Cape Cod-based pianist and lawyer James Rosenblum has studied classical piano since age six. His teachers hail from Yale, Juilliard, the Manhattan School of Music, the Aspen Music Festival, and the Tel-Hai International Piano Master Classes. James was a finalist at the 2016 Chicago Amateur Piano Competition and is one of 48 worldwide competitors selected for the Cliburn Amateur Competition to take place in 2022.

This appearance is his third time as featured performer at Open Mic Classical - in previous featured appearances he performed Rhapsody in Blue

(with host Monika Woods on clarinet and Ana Glig on orchestral piano) and Chopin's Heroic Polonaise in A-flat. You may also recognize him from previous concerts at Chatham First Night, the Cultural Center of Cape Cod, the Cape Cod Museum of Art.

At the Cultural Center of Cape Cod on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at 3pm, he will perform a full concert of Scott Joplin ragtimes and Maurice Ravel works, including Maple Leaf Rag and Ondine.

At Open Mic Classical, get a sneak preview of his repertoire with a 20-30 minute performance of the pieces by these fantastic early 20th century composers.
