This is what our community outreach Ellen Adamson, one of the organizers of this concerts series has to say: "The focus will be the Civil War and the music that grew out of this upheaval in our history. It will feature letters home from soldiers, the songs of Stephen Foster, the poetry of Walt Whitman and popular folk tunes of the day."
