In January we will have local cellist Christian N. Holleck as our guest performer, with Anne Perrault as his collaborative pianist.
CHRISTIAN HOLLECK loves chamber music and has attended numerous chamber
music camps. Whether a Debussy piano trio, a commissioned piece by local
composer Richard Winchell or a baroque Trio Sonata, chamber music allows for
unique conversation and communication among equals.
Christian chose the cello at age seven because he liked the sound and it was bigger than he was.
Christian studied at the Rivers Music School in Weston and later played with
New England Conservatory Youth Orchestras, the Swarthmore College Symphony,
Princeton University Orchestra and the Pontiac Oakland Symphony in Michigan.
He performs regularly with the Chatham Music Club and at St. Peter's
Lutheran Church where he serves as Co-Pastor with his wife Tiffany. Their
daughters are studying flute, clarinet, and piano.
Anne Franciose Perrault Soloist, Collaborative Pianist, and Master Teacher Pianist and teacher Anne Franciose Perrault served as Chair of Longy School of Music Piano Department in Cambridge MA from 1994-2000. She pursued additional studies at the prestigious Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria.
Ms. Perrault's versatile performance career as soloist and collaborative pianist has taken her to concert halls in this country and Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
She has also collaborated with international artists such as Paul Mathen, Robert Honeysucker, D’Anna Fortunato, Ron Lowry, and members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. She has often been a guest on WGBH, Boston. Critics have acclaimed her playing as “masterful, with superb artistry and technique.”

So what is Open Mic Classical?
An “Open Mic” is for popular music only, right?
WRONG!
On January 17th, 2015 at 3:00 pm, we are bringing you Open Mic Classical, a new experience in classical music, to help our community's musicians share their music with a friendly, supportive and appreciative audience.
Are you a doctor with a classical horn habit, or an orchestra member who misses playing in small ensembles?
Are you an aspiring young student who doesn't ever get a chance to play with a pianist, but would like to develop your performing skills? Or a composer eager to try out your newest work?
Dust off your flugelhorn, oil your keys, and come share your talent in an intimate and casual atmosphere.
Admission is free, and classical musicians of all ages and levels are welcome.
Pianist on site is available to accompany you.
“Open Mic Classical” is brought to you by clarinetist Mónika Woods (winner of the Cape Symphony's 2013 Soloist Competition) and amateur violist and sculptor Robert Marcus representing First Parish Brewster, with Lucy Banner and Elizabeth Tipton as collaborative pianists.
It will be held at 3:00 pm on the third Sunday of every month through June at the Brewster Meeting House (1969 Main Street on Route 6A). Participants are asked to sign in at 2:45pm, rehearsal with pianist on request.
